I have been writing about food for over 20 years. Articles have appeared in the Daily Telegraph, Express, Evening Standard, Financial Times, Country Living, Food Illustrated and The Dubliner. I edited Food and Wine magazine in Ireland for three years and have written daily and weekly recipe columns for the Evening Standard, Financial Times and The Irish Times.
Is there a common theme? Pursuit of the perfect food would be too simple a way of describing it. Certainly it is about making food, its purchase and preparation something of a priority.
This approach is followed in the books. Every one of them aimed at encouraging the reader to shop seasonally, locally and often. And prepare food simply. They are about satisfaction, ease and accessibility.
